Information about Laptops

New for the 2024-25 school year: Student usernames are now thestudent’s unique 7-digit Student ID number. Passwords were not reset over the summer. If you need a password reset, call Tech support using the number above or stop by the library and we can reset it for you.

We encourage students toregister your password in the event you have difficulty logging in to your student account. Process is simple and quick! Here's the link to access Password Recovery.

Student/Parent Laptop Agreement Form is now available on ParentSquare.

Traveling? Please note that student laptops are not configured to connect to the internet outside of the U.S. Students can still access resources from a personal device. You can use the web-based versions of Teams and Outlook and other applications to do classwork.

To access the ICS Catalog, use the Destiny Link in Classlink or CLICK HERE and select ICS under "choice schools."

KCLS Catalog

CHECK OUT BOOKS FROM KCLS! Your student ID gives you access to even more amazing resources from the King County Library System! Use Classlink for easiest access and you won't need to do the steps below.

  • Make sure you are in the KCLS Student Portal (kcls.org/students).
  • DO NOT log in using the black "Log In/MY KCLS" button!
  • When are ready to access materials (books or databases) you will be prompted to enter a Log In/Password.
  • Your library account or card number is 414 + your LWSD student ID number for example: 4141234567
  • Your PIN or password is the last 4 digits of your LWSD student ID number
  • TEACHERS process is the same, but use 414t + the ID number on your badge (without the NS)

Links to all databases are pre-loaded in Classlink. No need for usernames and passwords to access LWSD databases! Students can also use the KCLS link in Classlink to access all KCLS research resources. Contact Mrs. Peterson for more information.

ICS Book Groups

BOOK GROUPS!

We have various book discussion groups during the year for high school and middle school students. In 2023-24 we had groups meeting to read books aboutrelevant social issues, a romance group,and a very popular mystery book club. Students receive a copy of the book to keep thanks to a grant from the Lake Washington Education Association. Students, check the Library Teams Channel for information about 2024-25 book groups

Do you use Common Sense Media? CSM has always been a great resource to provide age-based media reviews for families for books, movies, apps & technology and more. Parent Resource Page.
